Josh Bryan (M.M.Ed.) is in his fourth year as Assistant Conductor for the Athens Symphony. He has been a member of the symphony since 2015 performing on percussion as well as with the chorus. He received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Emmanuel College in 2013 and his Master of Music Education from The University of Georgia in 2017.
Mr. Bryan is currently the Chorus Director at Hart County High School and Adjunct Professor at Emmanuel College where he teaches guitar and Musical Theater. He frequently directs and conducts for the musical theater productions with both schools and can even be found performing around the area with other theater productions.
His music experience also includes arranging music for various ensembles, teaching private lessons, teaching music and theater at fine arts camps, accompanying on guitar, trumpet, or percussion for chorus or musical productions, rehearsing an a cappella vocal ensemble, and assisting with the high school band.
When not on stage or in rehearsal, Josh enjoys reading, arranging, and even doing some sleight of hand magic. He is very excited about his first season as Assistant Conductor with the Orchestra and Chorus, and is looking forward to great things to come!
