The Susan Dinwiddie Music Grant

Creating the next generation of music makers and music lovers.

Established in 2022 to provide students and educators access to musical instruments, experiences, and training, the Susan Dinwiddie Music Education Grant enhanced the music programs of almost 700 local students in its first year.

Named in honor of Susan Dinwiddie who served 42 years with the Athens Symphony, the last 10 as its Conductor before retiring in April 2022, the grant is a critical investment by the Athens Symphony for the development of future musicians and music lovers in our community.
